What is max's quicksliver hardware renderer? Is it another type of renderer that can produce quality like mental ray but extremely faster?

Or is it a renderer that only renders certain part then you have to composite it?

I found a similar renderer in Maya that uses hardeware to render but not sure what its limitation are.

yes its like mental ray, but it use cuda core from nvidia card, it make the scene render from gpu instead if to compare other render only rely on cpu.
when using hardware, yes its make the render faster

what about any mix shaders? Any translucent material? If so, I can make my own SSS shader from those.
